Lazy Su analyzed roughly 50 matcha vendors across San Diego County—including dedicated matcha bars, coffee shops, boba spots, and pop-ups—to understand where the market is headed. Our data shows that dedicated matcha concepts are an emerging opportunity in San Diego, with nearly a third of vendors opening in 2025 or 2026.
